HYMNS BY HEART 2009 CALENDAR AND CD is unique in that it aims to teach and promote the singing of some of the well-loved gospel hymns of the Christian Church. Each month in the calendar features four to five stanzas of a selected hymn, and a short commentary on the hymn and its hymn-writer, with an accompanying Scripture verse for meditation. The enclosed CD contains recordings of each of the twelve hymns in the calendar, performed by various soloists and choirs. Three of the hymns are performed twice. O God of Bethel is performed on track 1 by a solo voice, and again in track 13 by a choir. Amazing Grace is sung in English on track 8 and in Chinese (Fukien dialect) on track 14. What a Friend we have in Jesus is sung in English by a solo voice on track 10 and in Chinese (Fukien dialect) on track 15.

For churches who rely upon recorded music to accompany their hymn-singing, we have recorded simple piano accompaniments which we consider suitable for use in church worship. These can be downloaded free of charge from our website. The piano accompaniments will be available this coming December.
